Wallace Real Estate shares Recycling Resources in East Tennessee

A national initiative of Keep America Beautiful, this observance is to educate and encourage people in communities across the country to be more mindful of what they consume.&nbsp;</p> <p><img alt=”” src=”https://d15zjc2r4e8kr7.cloudfront.net/9302/blog/Moxi%20Blog%20Images%20(900%20x%20500%20px)%20(29).png” style=”margin: 10px; width: 600px; height: 333px;” class=”featured”></p> <p>Another purpose of this holiday is to share resources for recycling, including where and how, plus best practices and other tips.&nbsp;</p> <p>In honor of America Recycles Day, Wallace Real Estate is sharing a round-up of recycling resources for our friends and neighbors in East Tennessee.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>City of Knoxville Residents -&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>If you live in the City of Knoxville, you have several options for recycling. The City of Knoxville&#39;s recycling program began in the 1980s, with the first recycling drop-off centers. Today, approx. 30k Knoxville households are signed up to receive the curbside pickup services.&nbsp;</p> <p>Did you know that when bins of mixed recycling items are collected, they get delivered to WestRock, a materials recovery facility near downtown? Check it out <a href=”https://www.keepknoxvillebeautiful.org/waste-and-recycling-information”> here!</a></p> <p><strong>Knox County Residents -&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>For Knox County Residents, recycling options include drop-off centers for items ranging from aluminum cans and plastic bottles, to car batteries and CFL lightbulbs.&nbsp;</p> <p>In addition to the&nbsp;<a href=”https://www.knoxcounty.org/solid_waste/centers.php”>county drop-off centers</a>, there are several other recycling centers located in the greater Knoxville area. If you are a City of Knoxville resident you can call 215-4311 for more information on city recycling centers and curbside collection.
